Founded in 1989 by Michael J. Saylor, Sanju Bansal, and Thomas Spahr, the company initially focused on enterprise analytics and BI software, gaining prominence in the 1990s and going public in 1998 on NASDAQ. In August 2025, the company changed its name to Strategy Inc to reflect its dual focus on Bitcoin treasury operations and AI-powered analytics. The company's primary business lines include: 1. Bitcoin Treasury Operations: Strategy acquires and holds Bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset, offering investors varying degrees of economic exposure through its equity and fixed income instruments. It is considered the world's first and largest Bitcoin treasury company. 2. Enterprise Analytics Software: The company provides cloud-native, AI-powered BI solutions, including Strategy One, which allows non-technical users to access actionable insights, and Strategy Mosaic, a universal intelligence layer that ensures consistent definitions and governance across data sources. 3. Consulting Services: Strategy also offers a whole-person consulting approach, moving away from prescriptive strategies to more holistic solutions. As of the latest data, the company employs approximately 1,539 full-time employees. Key executives include Executive Chairman Michael J. Saylor (founder) and CEO Phong Q. Le. The company has a market cap of about $19.9 billion, with a stock price around $67.05. Financially, Strategy has a negative profit margin, partly due to large Bitcoin-related impairments and operating costs. However, it maintains a strong balance sheet with low debt-to-equity and high current ratio. The company aims to leverage Bitcoin as a treasury asset while evolving its analytics software with AI and generative BI capabilities.

Scott Bluestein: Thank you, Michael, and thank you all for joining the Hercules Capital Q2 2026 earnings call. In the second quarter of 2026, Hercules delivered another strong quarter of record operating performance, strong originations, and stable credit. During the quarter, we continued to navigate through a period of general volatility, although the broader market backdrop improved relative to Q1. The three themes that guided us in Q1, disciplined and conservative new underwriting, maintaining a strong and flexible balance sheet, and being proactive in terms of managing credit, continued to be our focus in Q2. As of the end of Q2, our balance sheet and liquidity position is strong, our portfolio credit performance remains stable, and our investment portfolio continued to generate net investment income in Q2 that comfortably covered our base shareholder distribution by 125%. Coming off a record-breaking Q1 for originations, our platform continued to see robust deal flow in Q2. For the first half of …
