Read on the quarter
What the moves add up to
The quarter’s most consequential theme was a reinforcement of AI- and semiconductor-linked exposure. Nvidia was added and rose modestly in position size (share count up 3.2%), while Broadcom was also added with a much larger increase (share count up 16.3%). Alphabet was increased across two listings—GOOGL (share count up 6.0%) and GOOG (share count up 12.3)—and Apple and Amazon were added as well (share counts up 5.8% on AAPL and up 1.9% on AMZN). Together with the top holding stack, this pushes the portfolio toward the same growth engines reflected in the top rows, with the top 10 still accounting for 34.0% of the portfolio.
At the same time, Fidelity selectively reduced positions where share counts moved down despite still-large portfolio weights. Microsoft was trimmed (share count down 2.2%), Meta Platforms was trimmed more decisively (share count down 17.8%), and Micron and TSM were also trimmed (share counts down 16.6% on MU and down 2.4% on TSM). The shift is also visible in activity breadth: there were 391 new positions and 2857 adds versus 236 exits, suggesting the changes were more about rotating within the growth complex than broadly de-risking.
Context
How to read this filing
A Form 13F is a quarterly snapshot institutional managers with over $100M in US-listed assets must file within 45 days of quarter end. It shows long equity positions only: no short book, no cash, no non-US listings, no timing inside the quarter. Treat it as a delayed map of where the manager's conviction sat on the reporting date — not a live portfolio, and not a buy list.
