$1.2 Billion South Florida Pipeline Aims to Expand Gas Capacity
Chesapeake Utilities and Peninsula Pipeline Co. plan to construct the $1.2 billion Florida Energy Pathway, a 24-inch natural gas pipeline connecting Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties. This project, expected to be in service by 2030, aims to expand natural gas transportation capacity across South Florida to meet increasing energy demand due to population and economic growth. The company intends to partner with third-party investors for up to 49% ownership of the project.
