U.S. appeals court revives more than 500 lawsuits against Tylenol-maker Kenvue over autism claims
A federal appeals court has revived over 500 lawsuits against Kenvue, the maker of Tylenol, concerning claims that the painkiller causes autism and ADHD in children when used during pregnancy. The court stated that a district judge improperly excluded expert testimony from three doctors who supported a link, although medical consensus generally views acetaminophen as safe for pregnancy. Kenvue maintains that Tylenol is safe and plans to challenge the reliability of the plaintiffs' experts again.
