New York Sues Chemical Companies Over PFAS ‘Forever Chemicals’
New York Attorney General Letitia James has filed a lawsuit against major chemical manufacturers, including 3M and DuPont, for allegedly polluting the state with toxic "forever chemicals" (PFAS). The lawsuit claims these companies knowingly created health and environmental risks for decades while misleading consumers and regulators. James is seeking compensation for cleanup efforts, damages, financial penalties, and a ban on the sale of harmful PFAS products without adequate warnings.
