Williams Announces $5.34 Billion Investment in Power Innovation Joint Venture from Blackstone
Williams (NYSE: WMB) has announced a $5.34 billion investment from Blackstone, in partnership with Apollo and KKR, for a 49% noncontrolling equity interest in its five Power Innovation projects. This capital will fund growth and enhance returns for projects like Socrates and Apollo, while Williams retains 51% ownership and operational control. The transaction aims to reduce Williams' capital exposure, limit corporate debt, and help deliver its 6+ GW project backlog, supporting the company's long-term leverage targets.
