(NYSE Arca: PAPL) is a Canadian fintech focused on improving how mortgages are originated, packaged, processed, and managed for both mortgage professionals and consumers. Headquartered in North York, Ontario, the company operates as a mortgage brokerage network paired with technology tools intended to make day-to-day brokerage operations faster, more consistent, and easier to administer. Its website is gopineapple.com and it is described as an award-winning mortgage-focused platform designed around long-term outcomes for agents and brokerages.
At the core of Pineapple’s offering is a technology suite—most notably the MyPineapple platform—which helps users manage and execute brokerage operations through cloud-based tools. The platform and services are aimed at reducing administrative burden and improving workflow across the mortgage lifecycle: from digital onboarding and documentation through loan packaging and processing, loan maintenance, and ongoing administrative tasks.
Pineapple also provides extensive back-office support for Canadian mortgage professionals. This includes document management via a client portal, streamlined loan packaging, and operational services such as payroll, lender communications, regulatory reporting, training support, general administration, and marketing assistance. In addition, the company supports pre-underwriting activities such as credit assessment and verification, fraud detection and compliance checks, appraisal coordination and review, and analytics that help improve decisioning and operational consistency.
From a cost/operations perspective, the business model is designed to centralize and standardize recurring brokerage functions (e.g., compliance oversight, regulatory reporting, document preparation, and administrative handling) so that participating agents and brokerages can leverage shared processes rather than building everything in-house. While the company also runs technology infrastructure as part of its services delivery, its reported business emphasis suggests value creation through workflow automation, data-driven support, and reduced cycle times/operational overhead for brokerages.
The company also extends beyond mortgage brokerage into insurance offerings, including products such as life, accident and disability, critical illness, and credit insurance—positioned to serve related protection needs for customers.
Leadership is led by Shubha-Jeet Dasgupta (CEO and co-founder), with Pineapple also listing other executive co-founders and directors on its leadership materials. Founded/incorporated in 2015 (with rebranding to the Pineapple name in June 2021 after prior corporate naming), Pineapple’s overall strategy centers on combining brokerage capability with software and managed back-office services to support Canadian mortgage professionals and improve mortgage execution end-to-end.

With our Q2 earnings now complete, this is a great moment for us to step back and talk about where Pineapple is today and also talk more about where we're headed. Focus today is really on execution, discipline and what comes next for the business. We've gone through a meaningful transformation from a traditional mortgage brokerage into an integrated fintech platform over the last few quarters, and I want to frame it for everybody here. Let's start off with where Pineapple is today. We spent the last decade building an incredible national mortgage broker platform here in Canada. We're supporting hundreds of mortgage brokers from coast to coast and funding almost $2 billion a year in annual mortgage originations. Our Q2 2026 mortgage volume was posted at $367.2 million with 6-month aggregated volume being $829.3 million, implying that our annual run rate is near $1.6 billion to $1.7 billion for the year. For context, the 6-month mortgage volume edged up to about $829.3 million from $811.5 million in the prior …
