What has to be true for the reading to mean anything
The entire interpretation rests on a participant whose size forces them to work patiently. In a market where anyone can fill any order instantly, there is no accumulation to detect.
That is the test to apply to any instrument before using this method: is there a plausible participant here who would have to spend weeks building a position? In a liquid mid-cap stock, yes. In a micro-cap with sporadic volume, the structures you see are noise with names attached.

The timeframe floor
Wyckoff structures can be drawn on any timeframe, and on a five-minute chart you will find several a day. Almost none of them reflect an operator accumulating — they reflect ordinary intraday oscillation with a vocabulary applied to it.
The daily chart for the range with an hourly chart for the events within it is the conventional pairing, and it corresponds to the timescale on which real accumulation actually takes place.
